SCR are a dedicated team of Tilers and Stone Masons committed to bringing ethical work standards to Balcony Repairs in Melbourne. SCR believe all Home Owners have the right to have a Balcony Tiled and Waterproofed to Australian Standards.

Fronted by Director Fergus Lagan, SCRs expert team bring with them over 40 years of combined experience in the Industry. Established in 2007, Stone Care and Repairs is a fully Insured & Registered Company, specialising in the waterproofing, tiling and stone restoration services.

With over 25 years specialising in ‘leak prevention’ and ‘resealing’ services, you can feel confident about the advice you will receive from Director Fergus Lagan. Fergus is an accomplished Stone Mason and Tiler. His 25+ years of waterproofing, tiling and stone masonry experience provides the SCR team with the knowledge and leadership required to make sure you’re getting the best in the business on your job.

What we do

SCR can offer; ReGrouting, Tiling, Waterproofing and Natural Stone Restoration services for Balconies.

SCR will come out, free-of-charge, and inspect your balcony to diagnose what the issues are, and where leaks are getting though.
SCR will then (where possible) provide you with a couple of rectification options that are available to you to repair the balcony. SCR will advise the expected longevity and warranty period that will come with each of those options, so that you can decide the budget and level of works that you would like.

Do you have a leak coming through an area not formally described as a ‘balcony’? Not a problem, SCR can diagnose and repair, Planter Boxes, Stair Cases, Communal Walkways, Patios and Outdoor Tiled areas.

For quoting purposes, an SCR Inspector will require approx. 20-40mins on site to examine and diagnose your individual problem. We will book a 1hr window with you for the inspector to attend within this timeframe. For rectification works, a standard SCR Balcony service can take anywhere from 1 day to 1 week, depending on the degree of damage, work to be completed and size of balcony etc.
SCR Technicians will always try to minimise the amount of noise and mess made, however power tools are required and some dust will be created. To protect your property, SCRs technicians always use Industrial drop sheets over all trafficable areas and vacuum any mess before leaving. You are advised to keep windows and doors closed during works to limit dust entering your home. SCR will always try to keep disruption is minimal and communicate on job progress throughout the works.
Generally SCRs works do not proceed on the weekend. Under specific circumstances, works can be arranged on a weekend, but this will need to be arranged with prior agreement. Unfortunately SCR does not attend Quotes over the weekend.
The size and scope of repair for every balcony is different. This is why we send specially trained inspectors to your property FREE of charge to personally inspect your issue and provide you with a no obligation free quote. Generally an SCR Balcony services can start from as little as $990, – size and extent of damage is always relevant.
Unfortunately due to scheduling arrangements and different skill sets of our Technicians we cannot always send the same person who inspected and quoted your property to perform the works required. You can rest assured however, that ALL SCR technicians are fully certified waterproofers ad qualified Tilers. We will send the Technician whose skill set is most suited to getting the best outcome on your particular job. All SCR Tradesmen are highly professional and will respect the Owners properties.
SCR can usually have an Inspector out to your property within a day or two of you making contact. In terms of approving work to proceed, the start date will be determined by the scope of works required on your property. Let your inspector know when you would ideally like for works to proceed and we will always try to accommodate your needs.
